The basic pancake Nigerians are used to comprises of the normal pancake batter with a little bit of onion, pepper and sugar. My mum used to make it a whole lot when my siblings and i were quite young and it was always a hit every time with hot or cold beverage plus, it was an easy breakfast she could quickly whip up before heading to work. i remember back then, we'd sit around the kitchen with our plates in our hands waiting eagerly for momma to drop the hot pancakes in our plates. We also made sure we dug into the pancakes in the kitchen so we could ask for more once we had cleared the ones in our plates....lol!
Pancakes are quite versatile as some like theirs plain and some others prefer theirs with the added condiments which always gives the quick meal a nice distinct taste. #Easy-recipe, #Quick-breakfast, #healthy snacks for children, you'd definitely enjoy it ;).

Deletetried dis recipe and it didn't work. pancakes were scrambled. pls dobby wt did I do wrong? **sad**
ReplyDeletethe pan you used is probably the major cause or you probably made the mixture too light. Did you use a non-stick pan?
DeleteDobby hi, please you said "cook" is it with g.oil i.e fry or??? I don't get plus it sticks to the pan... a little help here, thanks
ReplyDeleteyes i meant with g.oil, frying is a method of cooking. The best type of pan to use for pancakes is the non-stick pan therefore you wouldn't need to add so much oil , just a trace (about 1/4 teaspoon) would do. If the pan sticks then you might need to add more oil but before doing so try this trick.....If you've got dry garri around, rub it thoroughly over the surface of the dry sticky pan dust it off before using to fry. Heard it works like magic.
Deletepls make my pan cake much like urs except for the butter as oil in the pan for mine some times in the egg, sugar, salt and milk mix i add butter it makes it fluffy.
